It has been confirmed that 10 doctors at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano have contracted coronavirus.
Confirming this, Dr Abukakar Nagona told newsmen in Kano that the doctors where treating patients with symptoms later discovered to be coronavirus.
Nagona, Chairman Association of Resident Doctors speaking on Tuesday exclaimed that the absence of adequate personal protective equipment as well as failure of patients to wear face mask made the doctors vulnerable.
Speaking about the welfare of the infected doctors, he said;
“Eight of the infected doctors have been sent to Isolation centres, while the remaining two have gone into self-isolation in their respective homes, as they were yet to develop any symptoms.” Read More: Senate calls for the suspension of 5G network
