Nigeria may introduce “Precision Lockdown” from Tuesday :
The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 says Nigeria is set to introduce what has been tagged “Precision Lockdown”, as the second phase of the lockdown expires tonight.
Chairman of the Task Force, Boss Mustapha disclosed this to journalists after the Task Force briefed President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.
Mustapha, who is also the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said only eighteen local governments are responsible at least sixty percent of the total number of cases across the country
The Precision Lockdown will enable state authorities to embark on aggressive testing.
The PTF chairman said 80% of the infections were in the age bracket of 31 to 40, which he described as a very active part of the population.
He said the PTF was worried about the remaining 20% as nobody knows who may become a victim among them.
