The COVID-19 palliatives meant for the citizens were hoarded by the people in charge of its distribution in Lagos State. However, this was unknown until Thursday when hoodlums were vandalizing some properties. Nevertheless, residents of the area cart-away these COVID-19 palliatives.
The #EndSARS protest which started peacefully was later attacked by hoodlums. This has changed narratives in states where protests had taken place. Various hoodlums have been reported for vandalizing, stealing and destroying of lives and properties. In fact, there have been reports of jailbreak in some States. However, the government of each State has taken action in curbing these acts.
During the raid by these hoodlums today, a warehouse was discovered in Mazamaza area in Lagos State. The warehouse was filled with the palliatives meant for the citizens to help during the 3-month total lockdown. However, these authorities (which are yet to own up to it) hoarded them. Nigerians are angry as they recall that most did not receive any of these palliatives. Moreover, those who received were given a meagre share of it.
In light of this, alleged reports also surface concerning the Oba of Lagos whose palace was invaded on Wednesday. Some eyewitnesses said there were also some palliatives in the palace.
