Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reacted to the recent claim by the Nigerian Army. He insisted that the order to kill civilians was by the “Fulanized Nigeria President”.
Timer News reported that the Nigerian Army claimed that Lagos State Governor ordered them to be at Lekki. However, they denied ever shooting at ‘civilian protesters’. Though, this was in contrast to what they initially said. Furthermore, he challenged other soldiers to boycott their senior’s order if it is illegal.
“Dear junior officers & other ranks of the Nigerian Armed Forces: Under the Armed Forces Act, you have the right to DISOBEY illegal orders of your superior officers. Being ordered by the Nigerian Army to KILL Nigerian Youths is ILLEGAL. It’s a CRIME. Disobey it. Heavens won’t fall.
“Nobody should believe the Nigerian Army’s claim that it was Babajide Sanwo-Olu that ordered for soldiers to be brought to Lekki. It’s a brazen LIE. Since when did Governors become Army Commanders? Lekki Massacre was ordered by the Fulanized Nigeria President & executed by a Fulanized Army.
However, Kanu has an entirely different view of the current ruling party. In fact, he wants Nigeria to dissociate for a ‘better governance’.
